How Much Freelance Bloggers Do?
According to Ziprecruiter, you can earn up to $ 60,000 a year, or about $ 5,100 a month.
This is typical of many freelance writers and freelance bloggers.
Blogging is a great marketing strategy for brands and companies. This is part of their content marketing and leadership tactics to grow their business. As a rule, blogging is the first step to understanding the company’s product or service.
And just think about it –
If you want to buy a new computer, don’t you go to Google and find reviews or blog posts that list the pros and cons of certain laptops that you plan to purchase?
As a blogger, you can be a writer and make money as an independent blogger!
If you are new to all this and don’t have any freelancing experience, that’s fine! You can charge a standard bid of $ 10 per word on a blog.
This is what I tell my students in “Write your way to your first $ 1k.”
First, let’s figure out what you need to do to get started on freelance blogs.
How to Be a Freelance Blogger
1. Start a blog (or two)
The first step is to start a blog! Go figure it out, right? If you do not have a blog, be sure to check out my guide on how to start a blog.
Having a passionate blog can help you find a freelance blogger job. This is not always and not often, but it does happen!
Shortly after starting my Twins Mommy blog and writing articles about my twins and working from home, the editor of a popular twin site found my pin on Pinterest’s bulletin board and contacted me.
2. Find a niche
Niche is the main topic for your blog – gardening, for example.
Your entire blog is about gardening. This is a key niche and is well suited for freelance blogs. How? Vista can browse your blog and see exactly your experience – gardening. They can hire you to write garden tool reviews or practical advice on their gardening products.
But what if you already have a blog, and this is more a lifestyle? This is a blog with several topics, such as parenting, childcare, and productivity.
Can you find a lifestyle blog job? Yes you can! Twins Mommy is a lifestyle blog. I blog about blogging, work at home, my twins, productivity and business. I was still able to get a parenting concert from my twin contents.
But, as I said, this is a little and far from each other. Having a major niche can really help you attract the right type of freelance blogs.
3. Creating valuable blog posts
Well, here’s the thing –
Your letter and blog posts should be very interesting and very valuable if you want to receive money on the blog.
And this is perfect for you because you have a passionate blog to practice. You can improve your writing by simply blogging every week.
Also, start reading other blogs to learn how to write star blog posts. My recommendations are Copyhackers and The Writer’s Digest.
Finally, you can invest in yourself and your business by completing a course to learn how to write for blogs.
I have a course called Freelance Blogging in Weekend that guides you through this whole process so that you can write valuable posts for which customers will pay a lot of money.
But to help you right now, here are my top tips to help you create some valuable blog posts.
